Let Women Vote

Nebraska Next! - by Carson Becker

Nebraska Next! by Carson Becker, looks at the moral dilemma at the bottom of the suffrage question - who is taking care of the home if women are taking care of the community? The play uses monologue, dialogue, and audience participation to recreate the suffrage battles waged in Nebraska within the last century. A forum and guided discussion will follow each performance.

  • A Note from Carson Becker:
"Special thanks to Norma Jean Collins-Orlando for sharing her amazing political/historical library with me, and to her late husband Nicky who always supported her in all her radical directions. And to all the women who contributed to Leaning into the Wind, a collection of personal accounts from Plains' women throughout the past century. This book truly inspired me and I'm indebted to its editors for such an elegant work."
